Thirteen retreatants attended a silent contemplative meditation retreat in Bend, led by Leonard Marcel of Seven Thunders. This interfaith, semi-annual event started Friday evening, the 7th, with orientation and sitting meditation, and continued through Saturday. It included two talks by Leonard–one each from the Eastern and Western traditions–as well as interviews with him; a short work period; a potluck lunch; and, of course, several hours of silent sitting. We are most grateful for this grace-filled time. This regular retreat is co-sponsored by Seven Thunders, Open Sky, and Bend Zen, and is hosted at Higher Ground in Bend.
